AFI Systems 2008-2024

We are experienced systems integrators with projects ranging from simple motor & drive retrofits to complete production line upgrades utilizing the latest in PLC, HMI, and motion control technology. With over 28 years in the industry, we at AFI Systems pride ourselves in quality repairs with fast turnarounds - nothing is beyond our capability.


2022 -

Inductive Automation certified integrator

AFI completed the necessary training to become a certified integrator of Inductive Automation’s Ignition SCADA and HMI software.

2021 -

Avetta Wonderware certified integrator

AFI became a systems integrator for Avetta Wonderware HMI and SCADA software.

2019 -

Coca-Cola vendor award

AFI were given the Coca-Cola vendor award for outstanding service performed in keeping their production lines running at maximum efficiency.

2018 -

Bosch Vendor Partnership Award

AFI were awarded the top vendor award by Robert Bosch Automotive facility for supporting their production with round the clock repairs and field service.

2017 -

Installed first robotic cell

A case packing robot using an ABB IRC120 with custom tooling and conveyor systems designed in-house. Customer broke production records after commissioning of the new system.

2016 -

Expanded into the current 77,000 sqft facility on 8 acres in South Charlotte, NC

2015 -

IEF Werner sole USA authorized service center.

2014 -

Danfoss Distributor and Factory Authorized Service Center

2013 -

Teco-Westinghouse Distributor and Drives Service Center

2012 -

Beckhoff Automation Blowmolding Machine controls.

AFI Systems became the first company in the USA to carry out a blowmolding machine retrofit using Beckhoff Automaiton’s plastics framework software.

2011 -

Expanded into 5000 sqft facility

2010 -

Completed the design of our first custom engineered product

A retrofit kit for plastic strapping points traverse winders, using an Allen-Bradley PLC. This design has been used to replace over a hundred proprietary winder controls to improve reliability and reduce downtime and maintenance costs with off the shelf components and open source code.

AFI Systems LLC was founded in early 2008 by Andy Fleming

Building on his 15 years of experience in the electronic repairs, field service and electronics engineering industries. Our very first job was the repair of a Futaba M202LD06B Vacuum fluorescent display unit for the grand sum of $85.00! Many more repairs followed and customers added in the automotive, plastics, metals, textiles, printing and food & beverage industries.
