The WJ200 series has been superseded by the WJ-C1 range, which has been explicitly designed for backwards compatibility. An equivalent drive in the WJ-C1 range has the same dimensions and parameters can be copied from drive to drive.

Overview

From Hitachi's WJ200 line, the WJ200-001LF is an AC inverter /w/ a 3ph 200...240VAC supply -15%...+10% @ 50/60Hz and an output of 0.1kW, 0.125HP, 1A.
Features advanced sensorless vector control with a high starting torque of 200%, enabling use in crane and hoist applications. All models come standard with a dynamic braking resistor and operator keypad, with an expanded interface available via USB.
In addition, the WJ200-001LF has great speed regulation even at low speeds and trip avoidance functions for overcurrent situations. As an added bonus, WJ200 drives are capable of driving both induction motors and permanent magnet (PMAC) motors.

7x DI (24VDC nominal, 27VDC max. allowable; 18VDC min. in source mode, 3ΔVDC max. between terminal and common in sink mode).

2x AI (10VDC nominal, accepting current or voltage input; 0...9.8VDC input in voltage mode, 10kΩ impedance; 4...19.6mA input in current mode, 100Ω impedance).
1x AQ (2mA max. @ 0...10VDC)

Physical Characteristics

IP20 rated enclosure; 128mm x 68mm x 109mm (HxWxD), net weight of 1kg.
Rated for operation between -10°C...+50°C @ 20...90% relative humidity, non-condensing.
Suitable for installation at altitudes <=1000m above sea level, in an indoors environment and free from corrosive gases, oil mist and dust.
Designed to enable side-by-side installation, saving space within in the panel. In this configuration, ambient temperatures should be <=40°C.

Programming

WJ200 inverters support Hitachi's EzSQ programming language, allowing sequence operation.
User programs can be compiled on EzSQ software on a PC, eliminating the need for external components to save costs.
An example of this could be configuring motor speed cycles to run faster during off-peak hours to take advantage of cheaper electricity costs.

Communications

The WJ200-001LF comes equipped with Modbus-RTU communications over RS-422 as standard, and can be fitted with option modules to enable communication over other protocols, name Profibus, PROFINET and EtherCAT.
In addition, P2P communication is supported via EzCOM, wherein one drive acts as administrator and the remaining drives act as master or slave.
